Mercy. Mercy. Mercy. Joseph lives it in Egypt. Jesus preaches it in the gospel. The Spirit guides us into merciful lives with the power of forgiveness to reconcile what is fractured and divided. Such merciful living is the baptismal blessing of having put on Christ. It is the gift of the life-giving Spirit. It is a reflection of the glory of God revealed in the Christ.

The Worship and Music Committee

In worship at St. Peter’s we encounter God’s truth and grace through inspired preaching, music and prayers. Our pastor and cantor, with the support of our deacons, weave these aspects of worship together at the services each Sunday. In worship, the congregation joins with our leaders to honor our relationship with God and our ties to one another as we face the fullness of life with all its joys, sorrows and celebrations.

The Worship and Music Committee would like to increase the involvement of every member of the congregation in the worship experience through opportunities to serve in one of our many support ministries.

Ushers      Michael Ortmuller

Individuals who open the church, welcome worshippers and help us know when and where to move throughout the service

Lectors      Deacon Schilling

Individuals who volunteer to read the Bible lessons and prayers

Greeters      Bertha Stegemann, Carolyn Matthison

Choir     Barry Kloda

Members who seek to support the congregational song through extra practice that familiarizes them with the music for each service and also prepare anthems to add to the worship service

Join us!       Get involved!       Get inspired!
